and the award goes to...

GRETA ROSE!  For achieving great excellence in gaining mastery over her fear of the dentist.
Third time was a charm and she did beautifully.  The inner strength of this little flower really shone through and I felt so proud.  Most importantly she feels proud of herself.  She hasn't stopped talking about her experience as though it was the time of her life.  Surely it wasn't the x-rays or the glittery toothpaste at the end, but the fact that she grew a little on the inside and she knows it.   For this was not an easy day for her.
In behalf of Greta and myself we'd like to give special thanks to:
Liza
Poppy
Elida
Kelli
Mae
Seaweed Pete
Hylands Calms Forte 4 kids
Rachel S.
For all of their helpful advice and experience, empathy and care for our Miss Greta Rose.
I'm sorry if I have left anyone out, for it is early in the morning and I have Henry trying to poke at the keyboard.

Oh, and yes...4 small cavities that will be filled upon our return from New Mexico.

A little blind finger knitting in the car on the way to her appointment also helped to relax and distract her.

Whew.

In other news, Hen has a new hobby, sneakily depositing unwanted objects into my coffee, i.e. Greta's socks, small wooden toys, pens.

Your daughter is such a brave girl! I truly salute all the kids who conquered their fear on their dentists. And now there are more improved ways on how you can convince your kids on having a dentist procedures on them. Like in my son's case, we went to a dentist office in Atlanta . Sedation dentist took charge on my son's teeth because (Atlanta) sedation dentistry is really for those people who doesn't want to feel any dental pain while the procedure is going on.
