sea island

Just one of the many nice things about staying on this small island is that you see the same people around town, at the parks, restaurants.  One friendly father that I have chatted with at the park told us where to find "the prettiest beach on St. Simons."  He also was so kind as to get us a guest pass onto Sea Island which is restricted to residents and guests at the resorts.  We felt a little nervous as we passed the gates, but it was cool, our name was on the list.  We found a beach.  I believe we parked illegally but it looked quiet on the street so we gave it a go.  We spent some time beach combing and finding all types of interesting things washed up on the sand.  But not a spot of trash... and we only found one piece of sea glass.  It wasn't until we were there an hour or so until we saw another human.   She jogged by quickly and then we had the beach to ourselves again.  Heaven.

And here is the prettiest beach on St. Simons Island at sunset.

My wacky kids.

And your children are totally beautiful! I love what they're wearing - crazy ponchos.
