the curious garden

Inspired by the children's book, The Curious Garden,  the kids and I have been seeking out bits of nature in our mostly industrial neighborhood.   When we go for walks we'll shout, "the curious garden, look look!"
Fern and all kinds of foliage push their way through concrete and brick.
I thought it would be fun to take a series of photos of just this kind of garden, the curious kind.
I am still without my fancy camera, so Zach started off with the first installment.  He went on a scout for the film (Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter) and found himself in some abandoned burned out buildings.

It's very reassuring to see that nature always finds a way.
