louisiana children's museum

Within two block of us here in the Warehouse District, is the Louisiana Children's Museum.  The place is amazing.   There is so much for the kids to experience.  I bought a pass since we will be going back regularly.  There's an optometrist's office...

Plenty of opportunity for arts and crafts.

And a Winn Dixie grocery store, mini carts, local foods, cash registers, and all.
I was proud of Hen for his healthy selection of fruits and vegetables.

Yum!  Cajun seasoning!

Local flavor...

Henry decided at the end to throw in the one clawed lobster.

Greta the vegetarian, thought it funny when she loaded her cart with a massive bird of some sort.  And tons and tons of cheese, which she is not a fan.

Today was a rainy day so we stayed in, other than to let Ollie run around the courtyard and the kids playing piano and chase in the lobby.  We rode the St. Charles streetcar to the park yesterday on a whim.  The kids loved it.  Yesterday was a beautiful sunny day and tomorrow hopes to be the same.

And on a very happy note, my friend Jessica had her beautiful baby boy on the day before we left for New Orleans.  He is healthy and perfect and his name is Romeo.

Oh, Rachel,
Romeo - wonderful. Thank you for this news.
And in specs you're goodlooking, too.
Didn't know that there is such a child friendly area in NOLA.
Ariane.
