This chandelier in the bedroom is my favorite part of our Magazine St. apartment.
I met an eccentric young woman working in an antique store the other day. She told me of how before her parents divorce they lived in a huge mansion here in New Orleans with chandeliers in every room and she and her sister would roller blade up and down the hallways. She never cared much for toys when she was a girl, but she loved scarves. And as a child her imaginary friend's name was Henry, they were cats together. And her first car, a German car, she named Greta. She also loves round eyeglasses.
She talked me into a pair of the coolest vintage sunglasses from the 60's. Made in Italy. I haven't bought them yet. I will see her and those sunglasses again in a few days.
