Another thoughtful anniversary gift from my mister. This one made me cry. Zach took profile shots of the kids, sent them to Foundling, Papier Studio created the tiny silhouettes, and this necklace was made just for me. I love it!
Zach and I were also very touched by all of the warm comments on the anniversary slideshow post and wanted to thank you. I knew it would bring Zach to tears, but I didn't expect y'all to cry too! The comments were so kind and are a testament to the great and obviously sentimental readers that keep up with this blog. So thank you, thank you for all of the kind words.
This is our last full week in Nola. I can hardly believe it.
Today I spent time packing a few boxes to be shipped home. I'm going to make a list of things I will miss and wont miss about New Orleans, and of the things I look forward to and don't look forward to back home in LA. I can tell you right now, I'm not looking forward to having to drive everywhere. I have become very comfortable with buses, streetcars, and my own two feet.
Some of the friends we look forward to seeing are Karen and her daughter Bela. Read a little story about them here.
Have a great day!
