thank you, honey!

Just look what Zach surprised me with!
I am now the proud owner of an amazing, lightweight, super cute, and super hip,
 Lumix GF1.

It takes beautiful photos, unbelievable photos.  I am so thrilled to get to know this little cookie and keep her at my side for always!  It even takes remarkable video.  It was a surprise, a very happy surprise.

Zach did his homework and thoroughly researched this camera.  Many of his favorite designers use this camera as well, so I'm in good company with these fine folks;

All of the photos in my previous post were taken with the Lumix GF1.  Should I name her Cookie?  I kind of like that.

I hate to squeeze so much into one post, but like I've said before I have so much to share.

Do you remember the commissioned work I mentioned a week or so ago?  Well it's complete and you can visit Sweet Juniper to see it.  A few weeks back I received a surprise email from Jim (author of Sweet Juniper) complimenting me on my banner and requesting a similar scene but with Detroit as the inspiration.  I was flattered and got to work on it right away.   I learned interesting facts and saw fascinating images of Detroit that I had never seen before.   I feel very honored to have made a small contribution to one of my favorite blogs.  Jim's writing is funny, thoughtful, and always heartfelt.  If you haven't already, I strongly recommend you add it to your list of favorites.  Like, now.

And on to the next topic...my sweet friend Citlalli at Colorland, is having a giveaway herself.  She sent us a gift package last week that was so generous.  It had sweet plush animals for the kids and a beautiful bracelet for me.  We love Citlalli!  She has a big heart and loves to share things she makes with others.

And finally,  I am the host for this week's Drawing Challenge.   We take turns choosing a theme then use that theme as inspiration to get out our creative tools, get busy and draw!  Or sometimes we photograph, or sew, or paint.  Its all about making stuff.   Feel free to join in the fun.

And the theme for this week is:

Please leave a comment here if you'd like to join in.  Everyone is welcome.

Fabulous header at Sweet Juniper.

New camera ... you could have a box Brownie and I think you'd still take super shots!

That Sweet Juniper fellow ... I think I just saw another post featuring his house? It looks pretty cool. Now I have to remember where I saw it.
