wonder womaaaaaaan!

I have had a few failed attempts at finding a Wonder Woman doll to add to Greta and Henry's small but growing collection of super heros.  This morning before Greta woke up, Henry and I were on the couch playing with Batman, Plastic-man, and Spider-man, when Henry picked up my keys and said, "These could be Wonder Woman!"  Impressed as I was with his ability to use his imagination this way, I said, " Oh Henry, just give me 10 minutes!"  I searched the kid's room for a doll with no name, a doll they rarely play with, and this Polly Pocket surfaced.  She is a petite 3 inches tall.  With a little felt, embroidery floss, glitter glue, and a blue sharpie for her boots, about 17 minutes later...we had ourselves a Wonder Woman.

By the end of the day the glitter headband was rubbed off, the blue sharpie pen smudged all over her legs, and her lasso was rather tangled, but it was all evidence that she was involved in some serious crime fighting action.  Success.

What a wonderful wonder woman! I think she's great. Tomorrow I'm going out in 'underwear only', in homage to your wonderwoman.

And I can see her invisible plane!

You're so clever!!

Dear Rachel,
you have a fabulous bunch of super-men and -women. Sometimes they are in training and wearing blue gloves...

x Ariane.
