st. simons island

Before we spent three months in New Orleans, we spent two months in Georgia.  We found a great little house on St. Simons Island just off the coast.  We walked to the beach everyday, rode bikes everywhere, and had zero traffic.  The locals were friendly and there were very few tourists since it was the off season.  We had the time of our lives and found a spot on this globe we never knew existed or dreamed we would get to know so fondly.

I put this slideshow together for the kids especially.  They still talk about the "Georgia House" and the people and places we visited.   We were also fortunate enough to have Grandma Peg with us most of the time we were there.  It was a very good time and one of the most beautiful places I have ever been.

Wow! You are such a fabulous photographer! I always forget how wonderful you make everything look. I want to do the trip all over and make it even better than it was, but it was great! What an eye! What a crazy crab that was too, huh?
