drawing challenge/metamorphosis

met·a·mor·pho·sis/ˌmetəˈmôrfəsəs/Noun

1. (in an insect or amphibian) The process of transformation from an immature form to an adult form in two or more distinct stages.
2. A change of the form or nature of a thing or person into a completely different one, by natural or supernatural means.

This weekend I changed the form and nature of some beautiful flowers.  They arrived in their plastic sleeves, full of thorns and wrinkled leaves.  I cleaned them, made them fit to drink clean water, they perked up.  ( Silly helpers always make a job easier.)

I gathered some wild mint and other foliage from the forest.

Gathered and tied in individual bouquets, I tried to give them a "just picked from the garden" feel.

Flowers that arrive in their crude packaging are cleaned, thoughtfully brought together in little bundles, with some strong tape and ribbon, they mingle and mix, and become suitable for the prettiest of brides.

More wedding to come!
Marriage, a metamorphosis in itself, yes?  Two lives becoming one...

Visit my dear, Ariane, for more Metamorphoses.

Mouthwatering pretty,
dear Rachel!
Those flowers, free of thornes and other annoying things, metamorphosis into heavenly, fresh-picked, delicious (Yes!) bouquets... wonderful, great job! You gave them a really good start into marriage... all the best for the just married couple, your brother and his beautiful wife.

Congrats,
Love, Ariane.

Hello my dear Rachel,
I feel so badly about not getting back to you, sometimes life itself just metamorphosis itself in unknown directions.
Looks like your silly helpers are full of supernatural energy! Oh, when the beauty of flowers meets a wizard like you, the result is almoust unbearable beauty. And like Edda always says: it smells like in heaven.
Love Lilli

This was a good word wasn't it? They always are! All our words. They always make me think for a very long time afterwards. It feels like we truly inspire each other from afar.
I can smell those flowers and that mint from here! xx
