i have only one thing to say today

I don't believe that it is EVER okay to hit, spank, inflict pain on a child. I don't care what the child has done or to what degree the pain is inflicted.  Never.
Is it ok to hit an adult if you are upset, if they have gotten on your last nerve?  Why is it ok to hit a baby or child of any age?  What is this really teaching them?  Is it teaching them love?
I witnessed something disturbing this morning, folks.
All children deserve respect, love, and patience from the ones they love and trust the most.
Hitting them, spanking them, whatever name you put to it, does not teach any of these things.
It's not ok.
