little drifters

Yesterday our Little Drifter took her maiden voyage.
Can you see the fear in Henry's eyes?  The Atlantic does this to him.  He is more comfortable with the Pacific.  This same morning we had made big progress and I believed he had overcome his fear.  We ended up playing in the sand and the water for over an hour.  I was so relieved.  But by the end of the day the fear had returned.

I had to be quick here.  Henry was not happy with any of us stepping foot on the sand much less in the water.  She looks more like a floral arrangement, I know.

I waited for a small wave...

DOH!

I believe we spent more time on the aesthetic properties than testing the integrity of our vessel.  Could it be all that flora we added?  We learned from it and I think we have a better idea of what will withstand even the slightest ripple.
Citlalli joined me and along with her daughter made a little drifter of their own.  I love the added dolls.

To see more photos of their drifter drifting and Citlalli's most colorful blog, go here.
Thank you, Citlalli and Jimena!

Today we are expecting a rain storm!  The sky is dark and the trees are swaying in the wind.
Beautiful.
