granola power

When I was in high school I had a friend who was just as much hippy as I was.  One day Zach, I believe being sarcastic and maybe a little obnoxious ( yes, it's true)  and he called us The Granola Twins.  We actually loved the name and to this day continue to sign our letters to each other... *Love, Your Granola Twin*.   I thought of my Granola Twin as I made for the first time this homemade granola.  I made it slightly different and left out coconut.  I adjusted the recipe a tad. I added almond, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, wheat germ, rolled oats, honey, sunflower seed oil, and dried cranberry.  Am I leaving something out?
It was the easiest and most delicious recipe,  I can't believe it's taken me so long to try it.
Years ago I visited a farmer's market every week and bought granola from a French gentleman.  It was the best.  We moved away and no other granola has compared.  Until now.  And best of all the kids enjoyed making it and eating it!

I am inspired and going to try it. Claudio loves Naked Granola (I think that's the name) but we can't find it here. I will be granola-ey and give er a shot....
