i hate goodbyes

We get on a plane in a few hours for Los Angeles.  I could easily cry right now but am holding it back.
We've said a few goodbyes.  We said goodbye to the wading pool.

Greta had her final riding lesson yesterday.

She said goodbye to Mawmaw.

Last night we ate our final dinner in Nola with Papa at Slice Pizzaria.  He told them a Greta and Henry Mystery story.

We said goodbye to Chris, Greta and Henry's new best friend.  He works in the art department and played many, many games of hide and seek and had rubber band wars with the kids.  They adore him.

I said goodbye to Oak St. and had my last cup of coffee at Rue de la Course.

One of their neighbor friends Jack, was home from school for one last play date with the kids.  His sister Eliza we'll miss saying our final goodbye to, she gets out of school a  little late.

We will miss Zach most of all.  He stays for another month.  We will be landing in Los Angeles this evening.  It will feel good to sleep in my own bed again.

Good bye New Orleans.  It's been beautiful.

Greta is looking so big - which even saying that seems like not the right word. She's older then that phrase now!

Have a good flight and safety landing, dear Rachel and Greta and Henry. And sleep well in your own bed, lovely dreams...
